Roof Gardens
During the initial stages, we strongly advise a consultation with a structural engineer to make sure that design proposals are within structural safety limits. Roof terraces are naturally windy places, which means that the choice of plants is more restricted than on the ground. However through careful selection a roof garden can become a beautiful oasis to enjoy. To make life easier for the plants (and clients), we normally install irrigation systems on roof gardens. This helps ensure that the plants are kept in good condition and fed the right amount of water. Due to loading restrictions, roof terraces lend themselves to decking which is both lightweight, and relatively easily lifted if one needs access to the roof structure.
